The talented singer and rapper has commented on being compared to the controversial singer, Portable, who rose to the limelight with the release of his song, ‘Zazuu’ featuring Olamide and Poco Lee.
Portable has constantly been in the news since then, majorly on controversial grounds. Due to the similar traits between Portable and Terry G, he has constantly been compared to Terry G.
In a recent interview with Punch, the ‘Ferrari’ crooner, Terry G decided to address the situation. When quizzed about how he felt being compared to Portable, he stated that the comparison is good for Portable, even though they have no similarities neither musically or intellectually.
He said; “It is a good thing. I love Portable so much. Despite the fact that I did the ‘crazy genre’ of music, it does not mean that somebody else cannot be inspired and still unique. He is quite unique. There is nothing he has that can be compared to mine, musically and intellectually”.
“I feel nobody should shut him out. He cannot be stopped. If he stops talking, what else will happen? That is his style. It (controversies) did not just start from me. It started with different guys that represented the streets, and it will still continue. It is normal.”, he added.
