Promising Ghanaian singer, Ama Serwaa Genfi, affectionately known as Amaarae is currently over the moon after bagging two nominations in the 2022 edition of The Headies.
Amaarae was first nominated for the Best West African Artiste of the year alongside other top African stars like KiDi, Gyakie, Angelique Kidjo, Nelson Freitas, and Aya Nakamura.
Amaarae was also nominated for the Best Collaboration of the year with “Bling” from Blaqbonez featuring Bnxn.

In other news, Rufftown Records signee, Wendy Asiamah Addo, widely known as Wendy Shay has been featured in a campaign song against the discrimination and violence against women and girls in society.
Sharing the news on the microblogging platform, Twitter, Wendy Shay stated that all kinds of discrimination and violence against women will be red-flagged through the upcoming campaign song.
Wendy Shay was featured alongside the Cape-Verdean-Portuguese R&B and Kizomba, Soraia Ramos, South Africa’s Nocembo Zikode, Uganda’s Spice Diana, and the Angolan R&B and Kizomba singer, Perola. The song will be officially released on Wednesday, 25th May 2022 at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.
